“Cradle the cheeks,” they said. “Ok, I can figure that out,” I replied.
I came across these chairs from a Tuber called “Minimalist Maker” and purchased the plans primarily to use to dimension my own design. I like them enough that, when the Maple window trim was torn off of my house to install replacement windows, I jumped on the opportunity to reclaim that material and make something I needed, a set of lightweight contemporary dining chairs for my home. I added the carved seats, crafted on the tablesaw believe it or not, using a technique discovered in an old copy of Fine Woodworking. They are Hard Maple with Walnut doweled joinery.
